They have no name. No country. No address.
Wherever they go, the sign is "refugee".
The most severe humanitarian crisis the world is witnessing today is the civil war in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The people who are suffering are civilians – children, women, and the elderly.
War is for politics – pain is for humanity
The sudden terrorist attacks in Brussels, armed groups, and military coups, etc., are forcing thousands of people to flee their own homes.
People are sleeping under trees.
They are soaked in the rain and crying out in tears for hunger.
They have done nothing wrong. But they are the ones who are being punished.
The toll of misery
In the second half of 2024 alone, more than 700,000 people have become refugees.
Thousands of small children are dying of hunger.
Many women are trapped in the forests without protection.
This is not a problem faced by just one country –
This is a failure of humanity’s concern.
Do refugees have no place? No heart?
Refugees are not people who have been driven out of a country.
They are children of the earth – our brothers.
While we eat peacefully on one side today, they faint from hunger.
If we are to call ourselves “human”,
we must feel the tears and cries of other human beings.
Does social media speak?
We all use TikTok, YouTube, Instagram to keep up with world events.
But most people are completely unaware of the news about these refugees.
Because they are not faces for advertising.
Just beloved lives.
Conclusion: Let the world wake up – let humanity live
Today’s struggle is happening in Brussels.
Tomorrow there is a chance that it will happen near us.
Just because we are quiet, does not mean we are safe.
We must act.
A post, a feeling, a support can give hope to a life.
Refugees are not outcasts –They are a reflection of our forgotten conscience.
