One of the biggest challenges of the 21st century is global warming. This is not just a scientific debate, but also an interview where humanity is tested.
Today, the world has begun to experience the impacts of climate change directly. From Croatia to India, from Pakistan to the United States – nature has begun to show its anger in the form of floods, droughts, cyclones, extreme heat, and melting glaciers.
Humans in distress
While these changes are seen as a scientific problem on the one hand, on the other hand, it is becoming a painful experience that destroys human lives.
In Pakistan, hundreds of villages have merged with the ground due to floods. Children have lost their homes and become orphans who do not know school. Cyclones that suddenly occurred in the northeastern parts of India – destroyed many settlements. In East Africa, there is no greenery due to drought.
We all watch these unfortunate events from afar with tears. But they – face it directly.
What is humanity doing?
Many of us have heard the word "climate change". But do we face it in our lives? Planting a tree, avoiding a plastic bag – it is not just an action, it is a part of humanity.
Today someone is losing their home. That is the situation we could be in tomorrow. We need to feel that feeling. We need to turn that feeling into an action.
Environmental protection and human consciousness
When a tree is cut down, it loses a green leaf. But without realizing it soon, we lose the feeling that a family is crying from hunger.
If that tree had been there, there is no chance that a house would have been flooded. There is no chance that a mother would have died in a car with her child.
Can we avoid such chain reactions? Of course we can – but it requires actions with human consciousness.
Conclusion:
Even if the world warms – our minds should not freeze.
Instead, we should act in conjunction with humanity and environmental concern.
A tree we plant today will save a life tomorrow.
A plastic we avoid today will save a marine life tomorrow.
The Earth must be saved – but before that, humanity must be revived.
