I went out at night around 8pm to buy some toiletries, on my way back home, I subconsciously noticed a man dressed in a shirt well tucked into his trousers. I walked past him and heard him use a razz tone to call me ‘’fine girl’’ then he attempted to start a conversation with me.
What?! This is still a thing in Lagos?!!! The last time I saw a man attempt to toast a lady either on the road or in a bus with the intro, ‘fine girl’ was like 10 years ago and I am not exaggerating. I thought such acts have been left on the streets, even on the streets, I didn’t think such approach was still in existence.
Sincerely, Mowe may not be developed but it has been sane enough for me that I almost forgot how razz Lagos can be.
I was more bewildered to see a man who looked decent act that way. But did you know that is how bewildered God is when he sees us act outside of who we are in Christ? He looks at us in all the glory and fullness of himself that he has poured into us and just wonder why we forget who we are easily and blend with the trends of the world. He expects much more because he has bestowed so much in us that if we are to make discoveries of them all, we will keep doing that till eternity.
Come on! Stop that roadside razz behaviour! Don’t you know you are a son of a King and a royal priesthood yourself? Why attempt situations and things of this world from the flesh, don’t you know you are born of the Spirit, and have overcome this world? I bet you didn’t remember that greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.
God looks at you and sees Christ, then you open your mouth and just spew things that makes Angel Gabriel wonder why God made us higher than angels. Warn yourself ooo.
And no, I didn’t say all these to the man, I didn’t even pay him attention. I am here to speak to you via this article. I hope you have been blessed.
